And for households with more than 5 people or heavy internet usage, we recommend 30 Mbps. Know that these are just guidelines, and your specific needs may vary. For a new connection, we will install a separate internet connection at your on property secondary location at a discounted monthly service rate. This will provide you with a dedicated connection and ensure that your internet speeds remain fast and reliable.

Alternatively, in the event a new connection isn’t available, we can install a wireless bridge (if equipment is available) to essentially piggyback from your home connection. This involves installing wireless radios at both locations, which allows the secondary location to receive internet access by connecting to the primary router via a wireless signal. This can be a great option if you don’t need a lot of bandwidth at your secondary location. But do keep in mind this will have a higher upfront cost of the equipment, prices for this begin at roughly $350.

Both options do require purchase of a router for the secondary location.
