How Much Internet Speed Do I Need?

That’s a great question! The internet speed you need depends on your usage habits and the number of devices connected to your network.

How Do You Use or Plan to Use the Internet?

In general, the more devices you have and the more data-intensive activities you do, the more bandwidth (speed) you’ll need. For example, if you mainly browse the web and check email, a lower-speed plan should be fine. However, if you stream video or play online games often, you’ll need more bandwidth for smooth playback and gaming.

General Speed Recommendations:

  • For 1-2 people who mainly use the internet for browsing, email, and social media, and stream video on one device, we recommend at least 15 Mbps.
  • For households with 3-5 people who stream video at the same time, at least 20 Mbps is suggested.
  • For larger households or those with heavy usage, 30+ Mbps is ideal.

These are general guidelines. Your specific needs may vary. Since we don’t require contracts, it’s easy to upgrade or downgrade your plan as needed. Just send us a text or give us a quick call!
